Laura Tidbits: Favorite TV Shows

castle quoteFor a long time, I wasn’t a a big TV person. For years, the only show I watched was Castle, but now, I’ve got a list of shows that I am obsessed with. So, of course why not share with you?

Castle | I could go on and on about this show. It’s about a mystery writer and a cop who solve a case together, he gets the hots for her and uses his leverage with the mayor to earn the spot next to her to study her for a new book series. Season Seven is starting tonight and we better get a wedding this season!

I just love this show because it’s a writer and it’s about mysteries and murders, the things I, the writer, love to write about! It’s funny and witty, but it still has it’s moments where it’s amazing and dark and deep.

Scandal | Okay, so politics, that’s my thing. Public Relations, which is what Pope and Associates does? That’s my thing too. Put it all together? You get a tweet-crazy Laura who constantly goes “What was that?!” I binge watched this show on Netflix just before Season 3 came out and I am so excited for this season!

Nashville | This show can be explained in a math equation.

soap opera + country music + fake country twang = Nashville. Also, no one can stay together in this show. there’s not one single, normal couple. The drama is amazing and frustrating at the same time. The music isn’t the greatest, but last week, Hayden Pantierre (did I spell that right?) did a rendition of Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” and it was amazing.

House of Cards | Back to the politics and there’s something about Frank Underwood’s ruthlessness that is that much more amazing. He’s so cold and calculating and it’s just…. it’s awesome.

Covert Affairs | this is a show on USA Network in the summers that has Piper Peribo and it’s really good. It’s about a CIA agent and while I’m still mourning the untimely never to return disappearance of her first man in the show, Ben Mercer, I really like Ryan McQuaid this season.

Obviously, I like drama. A lot of it. I have none in my life, so I get sucked into fictional drama. And obviously make some fictional drama. What are some of your favorite TV shows?
